My interest in genealogy began with the publication of Rex Kissack's book the 'Seed of Isaac' in the 1980's. It provided instant information into my ancestors and as such gave a direction to seek further information. Not long after that, I joined the Isle of Man Family History Society (IOMFHS), which again provides valuable insights in to Manx 'days gone by' as contributors publish their research into their own family trees.
